Sandra Jean Coursey
Pianist and Instructor
Sandra Coursey is an American pianist and in-demand private lessons instructor. Residing in Ohio, Sandra is a supporter of new and contemporary music, as well as underrepresented works and composers.
Sandra is a dedicated instructor, encouraging students to learn about music through experimentation. Recently, she collaborated on the creation of Stories Con Spirito: Creative Pieces for the Growing Pianist, a collection of pedagogical pieces in a contemporary idiom. This project received a grant from Music Teachers’ National Association to help fund its completion.
Sandra received her Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Oklahoma City University. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Music in Contemporary Music Performance at Bowling Green State University, where she also serves as the collegiate chapter president of Music Teachers National Association.
